With this assignment i was going for a clean look for both of the magazine covers. I used in both cover colors from the picture on the front to make the boxes in the first magazine and the words on the second one. I choose clothing designers for the second magazine cover because it was going to be food or clothing and looking at the food made me so hungry so i choose clothing designer and the fact that i love clothes.

the covers should be on the right side of both magazines. I think the arts district magazine looks very real. That is a good thing. It's a little too geometric though. It would also be nice if the shapes at the top were slightly transparent or something. Maybe a slight glow would help. The fashion magazine is the least successful IMO. It's awfully dark and sort of blocky. Sometimes overlaying a subtle texture can brighten everything and also unify the different elements.
