More 44 Teeth

44 Teeth performance at Momentum

There will be some HD video available soon.  And that's Kody Wilson playing bass and sporting a mohawk / mullet.

Time Lapse / Stop Motion example

This is a actually a combination of a stop motion and time lapse video that I made last fall.  It won Momentum so it must be brilliant. :)

or you can view it in HD at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pItGsTu_BOw

Eli

He won an award of merit at Momentum!

Jurors were Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio (actually Clint Stone and Erin Gavighan)

Passage of Time

If you choose to the Time Lapse option you could experiment right now because the trees are starting to blossom.  They'll leaf out soon too.

Epic Dance scene

No action movie is complete without a drunken dance scene.

Nothing pisses the Thai off like a Belgian actor playing an American that is wearing a suspender-tank top and that has some killer moves.

D2 Layouts Hines

My sales flier is for a small grocery store called Oddish Grocery. It is very simple and slightly comical to reflect the atmosphere and attitude of the grocery store. I tried to use the golden mean in the layout and I think it turned out simple and pleasing to the eye.

For the coupon handout I made it small enough so 4 could fit on an 8x11 piece of paper. It's for a taco truck, which you have to find to get to use the coupon.

D2 sales flyer/coupons Gaither

With the grocery logo i was going for simple and eye caching. I got most of my ideas from the walgreens ads. except for the back page which i though of when looking for food for the grocery ads. The Pizza Hut coupons i got my ideas from the quiznos coupons and at the time i was creating the coupons i so wanted pizza.

D2 Sales Flyer/ Coupon Pina

For my sales flyer I made up a store and its logo, I wanted to incorporate some element of food in my logo so I used the apple. For my coupons I used a mexican restaurant in Pauls Valley that I really like and that I used to work at.

Here are my layouts. The first one is the layout for the grocery store I made up. If the logo were to be placed on something I think I would just use the "P" and leave out the rest. I decided to add a coffee shop in Peaches' because it sounded like a good idea to me. Therefore I decided to make the back page the ad for it. And the Mazzio's was because I am hungry and pizza sounds good. I guess.

The one o the left is my grocery story and we really need one in Little Kansas. The one on the right is my coupon set for Popeye's Chicken and after looking at all that chicken right before lunch.......I went to Churches Chicken for lunch. Poor Substitute of Popeye's.

Sorry I'm Late Stop Motion

fantastic stop motion - Thank the Hamm

A+, change of heart

Awesome and very creative.  And it's something that anyone in this class could have done.

Candace's post with the stop motion candle video made me reconsider the Passage of Time.  I will accept both time-lapse video and stop-motion video.

Both are videos made up of lots and lots of still images that show small changes from one to another.

Time Lapse video is made up of stills that are sped up to show a great deal of time in a very short format.  Example would be a tree growing from sprout to maturity.

Stop Motion video is usually shot on a tripod and objects or people are rearranged ever so slightly to show movement.  This is an example of stop motion.  Stop motion is very easy and low tech, but takes some time.  All you need is a camera, a tripod, an idea, and props.  Maybe we can get b-smooth to post his Barbie doll stop motion video from last year.

Snow Day Make Up System

There is a time sheet attached to the wall in the digital lab.  Please use it to log your hours of work outside of class.  Hours are not retroactive.  You have until April 15th to make up the 2 class periods missed due to snow.  That's 5 hours and 40 minutes.

There is an attendance policy in both classes and you have 5 built in absences before your grade is affected so if you are good with attendance you can simply write "absence" on the time sheet to account for 2 hours and 50 minutes if you choose.  You can actually do this twice if you wish to.

After April 15th I will take the sheet down and look at the hours that you have logged.  You will be given 1 absence for having more than 2:50, but less than 5:40.  Less than 2:40 is 2 absences.

Voting for the snow days is over.

The votes went to the option of extending the class periods.  Since some of you cannot do this you may work in the lab at the times that work best for you.  Use the time sheet on the wall to log your hours.  Please be honest.  It will not be hard for me to figure out if you are lying.

Also, I can open the lab on at least 1 Saturday.
