 The Thunder just traded for this guy and they haven't taken any photos of him yet.  I had to cut a jersey off of Kevin Durant and warp it until it fit over this guy's old Celtics jersey.

Snow Days

Finally the news that you all have been dreading.  Faculty have been informed of ways to make up the 5 days lost due to snow.  We had 2 snow days built in so that means that we only need to make up 3 days.  And since these classes meet TR we only have to make up 2 class periods.  The bad news is that I have to make to make accommodations to correct this problem.   The good news is that I had the foresight to institute a class blog that I know you all love very much.  That means that we have some options.

1. Using the blog, you will have 2 additional assignments that will be completed by using the blog and on your own time.   These blog assignments would be easier than regular in class projects.

2. I can hold classes on 2 Saturdays and I'd have to take role.

3. I can extend class periods by 1 hour for a total of 3 weeks.

It's up to you.  Please let me know which you choose by leaving a comment below.



The first 15 responses will get bonus points.  10 for D2 and 3 for D1.

I had to watch every second of the Thunder game to catch this.  Newcastle Gaming Center commercial guy on the left.  Bret Michaels right.  Is he trying to look like Bret or what?

Example

This is sort of what I am looking for on this project.  Austin Hamm made this with actual magazine clippings by pasting them to Bristol board.  You are to locate images from the internet or scan magazine clippings.  Then use the selection tools to select needed colors and textures.  Next copy and paste on the picture that you are working on.  You may use your subject image as a background, but none of the original photo should be visible when you are complete.  These do not have to be photo-real, but try to make them as close as you can.

For your "famous" photo you could take photos from around the building or even here in town just so that the subject is recognizable.

With the law firm logos i tried to make them look elegant. With the wintersmith park logos i tried to make them look more simple with a tree that has its roots coming down to the letters then to have the W on wintersmith have grass on it. I was making them look less serious and more fun.

For the law firm crest I decided to go for the shield crest which looked more professional and put law symbols. For the park crest I did circles because I thought they looked more organic.

For my Law Firm crest I kept to a sophisticated shield look. I put in the date established to show how long they have been representing clients in their region. The griffin at the top represents justice.



I chose Wintersmith Park to do the second crest over because I enjoy the park a lot. The main focus is that it is a CCC project and has been part of Ada's history for a long time.

Here are my crest logos for the law firm and Wintersmith Park. I found this logo style to be somewhat difficult. Im not sure if I have one of these that I really like. Maybe the Wintersmith Park one.
