D1 Open Series: Chesser
For the theme of my pieces I wanted to use different simple facial expressions and then reflect the emotion of the expression with the color and pattern. I choose to use warm and cool color choices and add patterns that complimented the colors as well as some neutrals. To create the faces I changed the threshold and played with the drop shadows to create a outline image of the face and then made the various lines and choose to layer and crop in the patterns which are mostly sections of vintage wallpaper.

Very nice! I like the colors and the cutouts of the faces with different expressions! In the cutouts, there seem to be some white spots that maybe you should have erased so that you could see the background through them. It is like that in some places but not in others and it might look goo if it all matched. Other than that, pretty neat.
yea i didnt notice the spots until until i went to post them..and thank u!
i like the composition of these photos. the colors really do dictate the mood on the girl's face. nice job!
