community blog with contributions from East Central University students enrolled in Digital Imaging I and Digital Imaging II. Students are expected to maintain a constant presence by posting assignments, tutorials, and other useful info related to class.
you have done really well on the flowers..even if you stopped there they would look finished but if you kept working on them then i think it would only get better...
the baby has a bit of a balance issue that i cant quite put my finger on but perhaps finishing the details and shadows will actually fix that...
You need to add highlights and shadows on both pieces~ on the girl, you have highlights on the nose but what about the cheeks, forehead and dress, dark shadows around the side of the face would help to make it seem more 3D as well. As for the roses, one flower has some nice darks but they other two would have seemed more realistic if they had some. I know how hard these projects were so I think you did a nice job all in all.
Thanks for the compliments and advice. On the girl the tone was not quite that washed out in my photo I had tweaked to glare some before getting it printed over a year ago but couldn't find the improved photo. On both I intend to push further have them both still saved with photoshop. I enjoyed this project very much I would just take forever making everything perfect if I had my choice. :)

Your roses look good, although I think more pink on the pedals would look nice.

the dress need to be closer to white... and the roses are the strongetst piece with more time i think you couldve nailed it
