#1 Gem Jewelers
This logo uses pretty and elegant font that is easy to read and invokes a sense of sophistication. It reminds me of fonts you see on traditional wedding invitations, so the look of this logo is supposed to be "bridal."
#2 Lazer Zone Family and Fun Center
Great use of visual hierarchy. The main words ("Lazer Zone") look very cosmic. Overall, the logo invokes a futuristic and fun atmosphere. The shooting star is definitely a plus in my book.
#3 Apple Market
This logo uses typical colors of apples (yellow, green, red) that all denote freshness. However, the font and image of the apples look rather dated.
#4 Tattered Lace
This logo uses stylish and elegant font and watermarked curlicues, so it's obvious that this is a "girly" place to shop. The transparent turquoise background ensures legibility. However, the logo could do without the weird black and yellow splotches.
#5 Ada Area Chamber of Commerce
The red and blue gradient certainly brings some attention to this logo, but what's up with the Saturn-ish ring encircling some of the words?
#6 Central Oklahoma Dance Center
The ballerina leaping out of the "O" is probably the only interesting thing about this logo, though the image looks very 90s. I'm also turned off by the bizarre warp effects on the words.
#7 Trinity Baptist Church
I like the use of a red and black gradient combined with an italicized sans-serif font, but some people may not be able to figure out that the fragmented figure on the left is a cross.
#8 Citizens Bank
I hate to be a Simon Cowell, but this logo is absolutely terrible. First of all, why is the "k" in "Bank" the only non-beginning letter that is capitalized? Second of all, the letterspacing is too condensed and maybe a little difficult to read for some people.

#4 four is way too busy. I think they think it IS a logo, but I see it more as a poster or album cover. My point is that it's not good design. There is NO GROUND.
