I appreciate that you were trying to keep it simple. That's hard sometimes. I don't really understand what you were trying to do with these logos though. I'm NOT saying that I think they are bad. Could you just explain your ideas? thanks
With the 10 Second Racing logos, this was the first time I used the pen tool as a primary tool. I used the "g" in racing to make it into the shape of a winding road. I once thought about italicizing the letters, but maybe that's what I should have done. I tried to stick with colors that are often used by car manufacturers like blue, red, black, and gray. I didn't want to make them fancy or girly. The second is supposed to be metallic like some car parts are and the third one has lines that look like roads or pathways.
As with the Ink'd Studios logos, the assignment said to stay away from anything that looked grungy or cheap, so I made the letters as clean as possible. I used different colors and effects on the letters because I still wanted them to look artistic and edgy.
