D1 Open Series Hamm

For the theme of my pieces I used the idea that Apple is an ever expanding business and is seemingly taking over spaces every time that they come out with a new type of product, such as the iPhone taking over the cell phone industry and the iPod holding an almost unbreakable dominance on the MP3 player industry. The underlying theme in the pieces reflects this by showing the rapid rate of expansion into other places, such as apple trees with apple branded apples, as well as apple branded space equipment all leading up to the apple dominance over the world industry as a whole.

Ah yes. The world is controlled by technology. I love that you made the intent of these images very clear. What is cool about this piece is that it is very relevant to the world today. We are, indeed, committed to technology. Very nice job!

Your series is pretty neat. really liked the flag on the moon! haha The Apple cloud is cool but it needs to be much smaller as it goes back in the clouds. Great job!

I re-uploaded the pictures as large instead of small. It is the only way I could get them to show up bigger for some reason.

I really like how you showed how society commercializes everything. i like how you put the apple symbol on all the historical photos like the man on the moon.

The apple branded apples are very clever.

I really like how you put the Apple logo on organic things such as the rock and the apples. But I must say, the last image reminds me of the cover of Twilight a little bit... My favorite is the city with iPod sky scrapers. Good job!

Well, I guess I'm just not as familiar with "the look" you all are seeing. I had to go back and look at these a couple of times to get that there were iPods? on stuff. It's just not an image I relate to. At first, the pictures did not seem connected to each other to me. The Apple logo of the apple is familiar. But I know lots of folks who would not even register that as a nod to technology much less the iPods.

I like this series a lot! Mostly because its anti-apple, but the same could be said for Microsoft, so that wont be my main liking point, I like the Apple TM apples best
