D2 Tutorial #5 Pina

Ok so in D2 we're making our own company logos and designs and all that and it there isn't a wide variety on brushes for the stroke you can use on here so I made one that I liked more than the default ones.

#1. Instead of just using a straight line I'll use a swirl:

#2. After you have one swirl go ahead and copy and paste another one but make sure to make the second one a little smaller so they don't match up exactly.

#3. Then go up to you tool bar and click the Direct Selection Tool.

#4. With that arrow select only the place at the tip where your two swirls meet.

#5. After you've selected that go up to Object, down to Path, and select Joint.

#6. Now you can see that these two lines are joined.

#7. Now go to the other end of your swirl and with the direct selection tool do the same thing (Object, Path, Join)

#8. And now you can see that these two ends are joined.

#9. And now it's one swirl instead of two:

#10. Now just go up to your color swatches and select a filler color

#11. And this is what it looks like!!!

#12. Now this is the swirl with the stroke I made compared to the stroke to the default brush:
